The social media landscape is vast and it is easy to miss important connections. For example, I just found out that UW-Madison is a member of “Beyond the Professoriate” (requires NetID login.) with 31 other Universities and Schools (*). The platform offers:

“AURORA is a professional development training platform for graduate students and PhDs that helps them successfully transition into academic or nonacademic career paths. […]”


The free AURORA webinar “Why every PhD should be on LinkedIn and 3 steps to get you started” listed in the UW calendar (today.wisc.edu, Wednesday, April 13, 2022, 11 a.m.-12 p.m., Free, Zoom) caught my attention:
